What to See at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show: 2016 Chevy Volt
We’ve talked about the redesigned Chevy Volt before, but after going “head down” with the Chevy team, this is a great plug-in hybrid vehicle. A great new look, new interior, new center stack and interface, all kinds of great new touches (heated rear seats…). During the course of the battery redesign, Chevy Volt engineers emphasized ease and utility. So it can charge anywhere, maximize whatever fresh charge you give it on almost any current and do it in a programmable way.
And it has the small gasoline engine under the hood, to assuage range anxiety. During a Chevy “Megacity Mobility” event I participated in at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, another participant with interests in local charging stations told us stories of how Volt owners taunted gas companies with stories of how they hadn’t filled up in months.
If you’re headed to McCormick Place, make sure you stop by and see the Volt. If a plug-in hybrid sedan with room for 4 regular-size adults (not XLs) and good storage space is on your list, you should see America’s flagship hybrid, the 2016 Chevy Volt.Click here for reuse options!
