Drag Race: 2013 Tesla Model S P85 v. 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged
This is the first in a recurring series of posts on how an electric car, properly configured, can simply smoke or keep up with today’s legendary gas-powered cars. Our humble thanks to the speed-happy people at DragTimes.com.
DragTimes uses a quarter-mile format, a classic head-to-head format. The competitions take place either at the track, with a standing start. Or on what looks like a frontage road, where they use a rolling start.
Now back to the bloodbath. The race above features a 2013 Tesla Model S electric car with the P85 power plant. The lamb in the slaughterhouse–er the opponent is a 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. AutoWeek.com called it “A Big and Bad Luxury SUV that Delivers on All Fronts.”
This Model S calls it “meat”.Click here for reuse options!
