Electric Car Deal Alert: Get FIVE Figures Off a 2014 Cadillac ELR
Back in late May we talked about the opportunities to get a plush luxury EV for significantly less than sticker. The Cadillac ELR, cousin to the Chevy Volt, wasn’t getting traction in the marketplace. Which led to dealer inventory, lower pricing, and to today’s news from GreenCarReports.com.
…if you walk into a dealer today and play hard ball, you could shave a five-figure sum off the ELR’s lofty sticker price…Users on the GM-Volt forum (via Transport Evolved) have noted several dealers, including those in Florida and Texas, offering a huge $12,000 discount on the price of a new ELR….
Now this isn’t HECN saying run out and buy Cadillac ELR. You need to put it into your evaluation process much like any other car. But, it’s a way to get a luxury Chevy Volt for the price of a new Mercedes B-Class or a BMW i3. Maybe you’re still scarred by the image of Cadillacs, I don’t know. But a deal is a deal, and if you’re interested in a green car, you should give it a look. If it doesn’t pass your standards, don’t buy it.
